April 2022 Newsletter

President’s Message – April 2022

It’s been 2 years since Covid-19 entered our lives, changing everything. Now we are trying hard to create an atmosphere of “belonging” again. I hope everyone will feel welcome to attend meetings and activities. We have big plans and are eager to see them happen.

Peace & Friendship Garden is Blooming

Thanks to our dedicated volunteers who planted 136+ roses and plants over a one week period. Byron and Kathy, Nancy and Roger, Monique and Bella, Florence, Diane, and Suellen — you did an amazing job. Landscapers Miguel Banuelos and two from Park West Landscaping helped dig many of the holes.

The labyrinth in the Boos Courtyard is now registered with the Worldwide Labyrinth Locator at labyrinthlocator.org. Hopefully it will bring visitors to Rose Haven.  To view click here.

Show Your Vase

Gardens are coming alive – Lady Banks rose is seen all over Southern California this time of year as a harbinger of Spring. Linda Freeman has Lady Banks rose with Sweet Peas, “Hot Lips” Salvia and Euryops.

Our monthly Member meeting is held the 3rd Thursday of the month (exclu­ding July and August) at 10:00 a.m. at the Ronald H. Roberts Public Library, Community Room B30600 Pauba Rd., Temecula.
